Using jMemorize to master anything that can be put on flashcards!
Here's an awesome little tool I discovered yesterday that has taken over my studying:
jMemorize (http://jmemorize.org) is a free flashcard software that uses something called the Leitner System of studying flashcards. Here's a brief from their site:
---
jMemorize is a free open-source Java application that manages your learning processes by using flashcards and the famous Leitner system. jMemorize makes memorizing facts not only more efficient but also more fun. It boosts your whole learning experience and features categories, statistics and a visually appealing and intuitive interface.
---
It's a really amazing free software. The best part however, is the cram function. While you do other work, you could master anything in 2 hours time.
1. Make flashcards.
2. Hit the "Learn" button. (underneath main menus, farthest to the right. Green play button)
3. Make sure all cards are selected.
4. Under "Scheduling", pick "Cram".
5. Begin!
As you go thru your night, make sure you check the software to see when you need to be studying!
Best of luck!,
Ryan

How To Cram
This is a pretty exhausting thing, cramming.
The below plan is simply IDEAL. It is not necessary to pull off cramming for a big exam. Don't worry if you modify it a lot, however, try to make the core parts the same, just switch times around.
This plan was adopted from a studying plan from Ms. Muzaurieta. We turned it into a cramming guide. Here it is:
7:30- Latest possible wakeup time!
?:??- Eat Breakfast, get all ready
8:00- Cramming begins
8:00-8:10 : Watch, listen to, or read some comedy that actually makes you laugh out loud
8:10-8:30 : Work on some vocabulary or index card related things
8:30-9:00 : Do any other studying
9:00: 10-15 min. PHYSICAL break. Go to the bathroom, get some water, snack, and DO SOMETHING PHYSICAL. Wii boxing, go for a quick run around the block, etc. etc. etc.
9:15- Begin studying again
10:00- Break again, then go back and do the comedy, and vocab then studying
11:00- 1 hr break! This is lunch time. Eat, chill, veg out, whatever. Maybe get some light physical activity.
12:00- Begin again from 8:00! Follow all instructions including breaks, etc.
3:00- Are you done cramming? If so, you're done! Take the rest of the day to watch a movie, etc. etc. Congrats! If not, take a 1hr break like at 11:00.
4:00- Begin again (if you still need to work)
7:00- STOP! NO QUESTIONS ASKED! IF YOU STUDY PAST HERE, YOUR WHOLE DAY GOES TO WASTE!
So that's the guide. Flex and bend it to fit your schedule, then cram away!
To your success,
Ryan

World Studies Midterm Guide
Here it is... It's the best one ever.
It's a little hard-core, so don't cry.
It's really helpful if you can bare it.
No humor in this one, it's mid-term time, after all.
By the way, We, Paul and Ryan, are not the only authors of this study guide.
In fact, the only connection this guide has to Ryan is that this is just Ryan's site.
Allison, Emily, and Sarah wanted credit.
So here it is: THEY HELPED ME WRITE THIS.
There. Said it.
Okay here:
